2019 EVENT
Saturday 22nd June 2019 – Race Start 17:00
Race Report

Well another warm one, but not quite as hot as 2017 (that was a scorcher !!!) and when the weather is like that it is not normally condusive to fast times, however both the female and male runners proved that rule completley wrong as both lap records were broken.

Aaron Burgess of Oxford City AC ran a great race and crossed the line in 16:35 beating the previous lap record by 5 seconds, close on his heels was Les Newell of Abingdon AC who finished just 3 seconds behind.

The womens race was dominated by the talented Isabelle Martin of Abingdon AC, who smashed the previous lap record by 31 seconds (set last year by her sister) and finished in a time of 18:36 a full minute plus a few seconds ahead of her closest rival.

As I said in the hall without your support coming along to run, this race would not be the success it is, so from me thankyou.

Also thanks to Mr Gee for letting us park in his Paddock, the various donations from the Cumnor businesses and individuals within the village, and of course a big thankyou to Cumnor Parish Council who continue to support this race with a grant that covers all our costs.

This year we raised £1,168.29 !!!! which brings the total in the last 5 years to £3,733.02........Amazing.

The results are below, and if you see any discrepancies, just shout.

Thanks again for all the support.
