This event was first discussed back in 2014 as a great way to raise funds for the Cumnor Branch of the Royal British Legion, after the decision was made to go ahead, a few routes were investigated, before settling on the current version.

The date for the race tries to coincide with the village fete which is generally in the first 2 weeks of June and finishes at 16:30, hence the race time of 17:00. This ensures great support from the village, and also the roads are quieter.

The first race was held in 2015 and had 43 finishers, the 2016 race had 47 finishers, and we almost reached capacity in 2017 with 92 entrants.

As we were reaching our race limit of 100 runners, we have looked at the course and have decided that we believe we were a little conservative, therefore the maximum race limit is now 150.
