2018 EVENT

Saturday 16th June 2018 – Race Start 17:00

Back for our 4th Year.

Well that was fun, weather was A LOT cooler than last year, although still a bit sticky.

A blistering pace from Thomas Hayes of Abingdon AC saw him win the race in a course record of 16:40 !!, he was closely followed home by two Witney Road Runners who themselves broke 17 mins, and over a minute clear of 4th place.

For the ladies this was comprehensively won by Olivia Martin also of Abingdon AC, in a fantastic time of 19:07 which wipes 11 seconds off the female course record set last year by Sarah Lackman also of Abingdon; Olivia is a real talent as she is only 12, so definitely one to watch for the future.

As I said in the hall, a huge thankyou to all the businesses around Cumnor for donating prizes, as well as the volunteers helping on the day.

Also a massive thank you to Mr Gee for the use of his land and last but by no means least to Cumnor Parish Council for their very generous grant, which means that every penny we make goes towards the Royal British Legion / Poppy Appeal.

This year we raised £798.09, which brings the total raised for the last 4 years this race has been held to a little over £2,500!!!! WOW....

The results are below, and if you see any discrepancies, just shout.

Thanks again for all the support.

Daniel Webb

Race Director
